Grocery Shopping とは？
groceries とは日常生活でよく使われる言葉です。groceries は複数形で使われて「食料品」意味します。単数形の grocery は形容詞として使われて、名詞として使われることがないです。
ですから、to buy groceries とは「食料品を買う」意味しますね！to go grocery shopping とは「食料品の買い物に行く」と言う意味になります。groceries と言う単語は日常生活でよく使われる言葉ですから、今回はこの単語の使い方をお見せしたいと思います。

grocery store とは「食料品店」と言う意味ですね。東急ストアなどのスーパーには食品売り場がありますよね！英語で grocery section / grocery department と言います。

department と section は「売り場」意味しますね？食料品店には売り場が多いですね！いくつかをお見せします。

消費期限 は expiration date と言います。消費期限について聞きたい時には次のフレーズを使うことができます？

有効期限は何日ですか？ - Does this have an expiration date?
これは有効期限がありますか？ - When does this food expire?
この食品はいつ賞味期限が切れるのですか？
店員に「これは何の(肉・チーズ)ですか？」と聞いてみたい時に What kind of (…) is this と言うパターンを使います。

売り場では、Buy 1 get 1 free または Buy 2 get 1 free などという表示を見かけることがあります。前者は「1つ買うと、もう1つ無料」で、つまり半額セール、後者は「2つ買うと、もう1つ無料」つまり2つ分の値段で3つ買えるという意味です。いくつかの関係がある単語もお見せします。
