パターン 18：Aren't you going to … ? ; Weren't you going to … ? [上級]

Aren't you going to … は「～しないのか」という意味です。to の後ろには動詞を付けて表現します。

• Aren't you going to get up?
  起きないの？
• Aren't you going to go too?
  あなたもそこに行きませんか？
• Aren't you going to see the movie?
  あなたは映画を観に行かないの？
• Aren't you going to tell me your name?
  名前も教えてくれないの？
• Aren't you going to wash your hands?
  手を洗わないの？

Weren't you going to は Aren't you going to の過去形で「～するんじゃなかったの？」という意味で使われます。「～と思っていたんですが」などのニュアンスで使われる場合もあります。

• Weren't you going to take a trip to America?
  アメリカへ旅行するんじゃなかったの？
